Digital Controller Status

I'm currently in the process of evaluating this NL502 touchscreen controller and if all goes well (and so far it is) the TC420 will finally be phased out entirely.

I'm also working with the TC421 and it's been working better than most of the TC420s I still have in stock, but I still see some of the random "mode swtiching" issue that came to plague the TC420; requiring that I change to only loading up one program mode at a time on a TC420.

Having run the TC420 for about a decade on my own setups, putting a heavy load on many of them, if they are fully functional (able to select among 12 pre-programmed modes) then I still default to a TC420 as being a great choice for controlling the largest light panels.

So far the NL502 is working perfectly on single light setups of my own and I'm starting to ramp up the stress testing to see how much load they can handle running multiple displays when powered by the very robust MeanWell LRS350 driver.

The big benefit of the NL502 is the capability to quickly and easily adjust what I've already programmed for you, or to make your own custom programs from scratch.

I'm also currently experimenting using one of the NL502 channels to control two fans located inside the light panels, facing backwards, to move air over the top vents on my displays.   Since you can make easy "on the fly" edits on the touchscreen to how these fans work, it becomes a much more practical approach.  My experience with fans is that the unique environmental circumstances of each display means that tweeking them often is necessary.   The NL502 makes that adjustment process very smooth and easy.

In terms of whats available right now, I will offer all three controller types (TC420, TC421 and NL502) until the last TC420s find a home.    Some of them will be sold running only a single program, due to the "mode switching" glitch some of them have, but I've also identified about 5 TC420s (via rigorous testing) that are fully functional and can be loaded with the full suite of 12 pre-programmed options (12, 13 and 14 hour cycles, with 4 intensity profiles for each).
